Homework:
There are numerous different AI tools shared in the presentation for this module below. By completing this project, students will have the opportunity to explore AI tools, use AI tools, and reflect on their experiences. The idea behind this project is to help students “stick a toe in” to get comfortable with AI and empower them to make informed decisions about incorporating AI into their teaching practices while considering the unique needs and contexts of their students.
In this project, students will have the opportunity to explore and utilize an AI tool for their educational context. Through hands-on experience with an AI tool, teachers will gain insights into how AI can enhance their practices and engage students in new and innovative ways.
Project Steps
Note: Projects that cannot be accessed freely and publicly due to a file/link error or paywall/sign-in credentials will be awarded a zero.

Project Steps
- Identify an AI tool or platform that aligns with your subject area, grade level, and/or instructional (e.g., PBL project, lesson materials, instructional simulations) or productivity (e.g., grading, data analysis, lesson planning) goals either from this module’s presentation or from your own research. This tool can be free, or (your choice) a paid version tool that you are interested in.
- Create a brief presentation that provides an overview about the AI tool you chose. The platform of your presentation can be whatever you choose (e.g., video, PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.), as long as it can be freely and publicly shared to your professor (e.g., file submission or link) without any paywalls or sign-ins needed. Presentation lengths will vary.
- In your presentation, share information on the AI tool you chose, including:
- Key components/features
- Steps for usage
- Potential applications in education
- Your reflections and insights gained from the project, including your perspectives on the benefits, challenges, and implications of (1) this tool specifically, and (2) AI in education for teaching and learning generally.
